Summary: will stand without glue the tighter the better but even if it isn t the super glue will hold it in place just fine I use a metal file to rough up the washer a little before gluing Acrylic caulk used to fill the hole in the washer tape the bottom of the washer for this I suppose you could use epoxy or some other type of filler instead of caulk
