Super Glue On Cuts? I cut my finger with a buck blade on christmas eve. I was opening a gift and long story short, it was an accident. Anyways, I ran water over it, I applied pressure with towels. After about 3 hours, I went to my sisters house. I showed my littler laceration off and my sisters BF told me super glue helps. So he cleaned up the cut and put super glue on it, then wrapped it with a band-aid. I found a finger splint and I used that until today. Was super glue a stupid dumb dumb move?

Can I use super glue to stick on a patch? There is a hole in my jeans and I have a cheap pair of jeans that I can cut to use as a patch. The patch will be on the inside of the jeans, as in I'll turn them inside out and stick it on so only the colour will be seen on the outside...if that makes sense? Sewing will ruin the design of the jeans, but will gluing the inside be ok, or will it ruin my jeans? I'll leave extra fabric around the actual hole on the inside so there'll be no rough edges irritating my legs. Any advice would be great :)
Does anyone have any experience with using super glue to cover a wound? I cut my leg on a piece of new tin. ( Currently re-roofing our house) The injury was right above my ankle so it didn't bleed much at all. We superglued it shut after washing with peroxide and applying a triple-antibiotic cream. The cut was pretty deep. I also got a tetanus shot. That was a week ago. Now it is itching and hurts. But there's no swelling and no discoloration. The cut looks good. SUPER GLUE NEED HELP ASAP? I could of put this in the medical heading, but I got in this predictament working on a car. I was gluing on a insignia(decal, decoration) back on my ladies glove compartment of her car. The task went well. It was a beautiful day out, everybody and the dogs were out running around. I made the mistake of putting the GLUE in my pocket. My dog comes and jumps up on me, nothing out of the ordinary. About a minute later, my leg is getting hot. I'm a old coot, I knew what happened, but to late. I almost glued my hand in my pocket, just checking it out. I had to cut my jeans off. I have a pocket glued to my <junk>. I am not going to a doctor, and I'm NOT using nail polish remover. Anybody know of anything else? Both hands are glue free. And yes, the dog in my avatar. Good thing I didn't get glued up with that. Dog has nosebleeds, HELP!!? Have a 4 yr old german shepherd who has lipfold pyoderma for over a yr now and have bacriderm, I believe it's called from vet for it. But vet saw his 2 cracks, 1 above each nostril and wants to test for autoimmune, then medicate dog forever. Can't afford that, so any suggestions as how to stop the nosebleeds? All he has to do is roll in grass or bump nose and it bleeds alot. Putting the ointment on nose and it is doing better, but not healing fast enough to stop nosebleeds. I tried liquid bandaid, but did not work. I know sometimes Doctors tell pts to put super glue on small cuts, should I try that? Suggestions appreciated. Put"gems"on my cell phone-used some super glue-got on some gems-how to get residue off without hurting gems? I pretty much spelled it out... I got a "Gem Kit" for cell phones from Michaels and I had to cut some of the sheet to fit around a design I was making so I had to use some super glue to keep everything on. anyone tried gluing or cutting dress shirt tails so the shirt appears not to have a tail? i have a number of really nice shirts that have the traditional "tails" in the back. I am not the type to keep a shirt tucked in, and think it looks horrible to wear these type of shirts untucked. However, i recently thought of a way to save my shirts by gluing the back tail up onto the underside of the back shirt. surprisingly enough, it looks really good, as in youd never guess that the shirt had a tail. My fiance was skeptical but very impressed with the result! Now the question is, what would be a good glue for this, as the super glue ive used works wonders on everything else but this application... And, am i the first to do this or is it a common practice to glue, cut, sew the tails out of sight?

How safe do you think it is to use over-the-counter Super Glue for sutures? Tonight a neighbor cut his finger and my boyfriend rushed in the house to grab a needle and thread as well as some Super Glue.. He used the superglue to stop the bleeding and proceeded to sew the guys finger up. It worked! So I decided to do some research. Elmer's plain white glue strikes me as being a bit slow to dry, but "super-glue" (cyanoacrylate) can soak through the paper and cause a whole new set of problems, sticking things together that I don't necessarily want to be stuck...like my skin... Dermabond vs super glue, is there really a toxicity issue with ethyl-2 cyanoacrylate? I recently had a fairly good cut to my hand. After the stitches were removed, the doctor used Dermabond over the cut to keep it together for the last few weeks of healing. Due to the location, the dermabond has started to peel off and the wound is still "open". Open meaning everything is healed, but there is still a 1/4 of an inch deep opening (originally it was a good inch deep) gash that is healing. Anyhow, rather than have to go back for a re-application of dermabond, it was suggested by a friend of mine to use super glue to save myself some money. After some research, I found that dermabond is essentially the same as super glue, with a lower toxicity level. It also appears that superglue itself was used to close wounds , though it was never approved for that use by the government. Anyhow, after all that, my question is: should I use super glue to close it back up?
super glue won't hold lego's together (though it normally dose)? okay, well i've been cutting, glueing, and coloring lego's to make them look better and more or less make a completly custom minifigure. Glue for two-piece composite hockey stick? The hot melt glue in craft glue guns won't cut it, because it dries too soft. I need something that does well in cold temperatures for outdoor and indoor hockey. Hopefully it isn't super expensive, but does a great job of bonding the stick to the blade. I haven't been too impressed with the stuff that comes on the blade, as it seems to wear out fairly quickly. What I should be looking for? Can I find it at a hardware store?

Unique problem about super glue!! Help!!? what is a good technique for sticking photographic prints to MDF board? I'm looking to mount some prints on to MDF board. I'm just using photographic paper from an online imaging site (unless you can suggest another type of paper that would be better). I want to glue it on to these off cuts of wood I've had laying around, but not sure what type of glue to use. Would normal Super glue or UHU be ok?
