Glue remover? Can anyone suggest an at home remedy to remove the glue that adheres the labels to babyfood jars. I'm doing a project and I need to remove the glue from about 50 jars. I don't want to use goo gone because of the harsh fumes. Any other suggestions?

How to dissolve rhinestone glue? I am attempting to remove rhinestones (Austrian Crystals) from an old costume to reuse the stones as they are extremely expensive. How do I remove fabric glue from a Girl Scout vest? I put all the patches on with something called "Sew No More". It come in a tube and is milky white and dries clear..almost rubbery. Well I had to take off all the patches due to putting them in the wrong place, and now I cant get the glue off! I tried nail polish remover (w/acetone) which started to disolve it but not very well. I also tried alcohol, Goo Gone, an eraser, and washing it in HOT water to no avail. Any more things I can try before I go out and buy another vest? thanks for any ideas :) Kim

What solvent is used to clean solvent-resistant duct tape glue off of objects? I have a great pair of Sony headphones that broke years ago (a common problem with this model, I knew several other DJs who all had the same thing happen within a few weeks). I put duct tape on the break (as we all did) and have to replace it every year or so. But now am having a very hard time getting the glue left behind after peeling the tape off (of a plastic surface). I tried alcohol first, then fingernail polish remover (which is mostly acetone). Neither one is working very well, only smearing it around a little. I know in the past I used acetone, though I may have also used paint thinner (which I don't have right now). So I need to get something that will work. The fingernail polish remover has acetone in it, but also has other stuff which may be lessening it's effectiveness (?). All the new duct tapes these days say they are "solvent resistant', which may be why I'm having more trouble now than in the past. Does anyone have experience with removing duct tape goo? Anyone actually have EXPERIENCE with the new solvent-resistant duct tape glue?

What can I use to quickly get dried-on glue from my hard wood floors? Over the last week I've tried mineral spirits, the odors are terrible. OK, Now I am just mad. How in the world do you get the glue and the tint film off your car windows? I removed the film but there is still glue or more tint film left on my rear window. It has rear window defroster coils on the window so I cannot use a razor blade. Someone told me to use an ammonia based product such as Windex. Tried that and it made it worse. I tried Goo Off and all that did was smear the glue and clouded the window. I even tried an Epoxy/varnish/paint remover. Burned my hand, spilled it on the rear deck, and made the window look even worse. I am about ready to tear the window out and get a new one put in. I have to call my insurance company first to make sure baseball bats through the window are covered. :)

I just removed window tint (car), how do you get the glue off? I've tried goo-b-gone, windex, rubbing alcohol....HELP! What can I use to get Gorilla Glue off a piece of plastic? I glued a magnet onto a piece of plastic. I was able to pry the magnet off, but the dried glue is still on the plastic. I want to take get it off, but I haven't been able to find out what will take it off. I tried fingernail polish remover with acetone in it, but that didn't really do anything. I would try scrapping it off, but I don't want to scratch the plastic. Will Goo-Gone or another product work?

Can I use carburetor cleaner to remove sticky film from my back windshield? (inside car)? I had to peel my back window tint off recently, and it left a ton of sticky glue that I can't get off using anything (Goo Gone, nail polish remover, etc). It's the angle (inside the car) that is making it so hard to get off. Help!! Got a toilet and the lid is glued to the tank.? This toilet was a display got a greaat deal so I thought. I have tried heat gun, goo gone, liquid nail remover. How can I get my extensions out? I have human hair glued in extensions. I'm having issues with them and want them out without damaging my real hair. I went to Sally's and they gave me a bottle of Organic Root Stimulator Weave Rx -Ultimate Bond Remover. I put that on the glue and worked it in, then i put some more on just to make sure i hadn't rubbed it away. I left it in for the 1 min, that didn't work so i left it in for 5-10 min. After that, I tried goo gone -didn't work...and i tried soaking my hair in conditioner-that didn't work either. please help me get these things out!!!

What can I do to remove the remainder of the car emblem adhesive? I am super sad about this. I tried to remove my car's emblem and all the adhesive wouldn't come off. I tried everything including goo-gone, magic eraser, nail polish remover, and plenty more. Seeing that it wouldn't come off, I decided to put the emblem back on using super glue. 10 minutes later, the emblem fell off and the super glue got everywhere, making the mess on my car even worse. Is there absolutely anything I can do to remove this? Or am I stuck with going to an auto touch up shop. How do you remove car window tint from back window that has defroster without ruining the defrost lines? Got an old Toyota someone had the ignorant idea to tint all the windows with the darkest tint possible, did horrible job, ripples in many areas in the tinting. Conventional ways of removing this tint are not working well to say the least and to top it off, the genius put tint on the back window which has defrost wires all up n down n across the back window. Need safe effective method to remove tint in this delicate area. I would like to add this tinting was done many yrs ago and although there are rippled areas which one would think would make it easier to remove, boyhowdy this stuff is stuck on better than airplane adhesive. We have tried lighter fluid, Goo Gone, Bug, Tar and Professional Adhesive remover to NO avail. It seems all of these products are unable penetrate the tint to get to the glue to loosen things up enough to scrape off with razor. Bad thing is now weather has taken a turn for the cold so trying to accomplish this in the heat will not be possible either. I literally cannot see out of the windows to drive safely during the day time much less at night! Thank you for any and all honest suggestions!

HELP!!! DRIED SUPERGLUE ON CARPET!??!? ok i was painting my nails and this one nail polish brush was like un attached to the top metal part, so i opened the glue but it fixed itself. so i thought i closed the glue... I DIDNT it knocked over on the carpet, so i put nail polish remover on it! ik stupid move.. and it started sizzling and it hardened up! i used Goo Gone or goo be gone or whatever but it didnt help! Will Goo Gone remove the leftover super glue residue that acetone didn't? I had a jewelry box that needed to have a piece glued back on. The super glue spilled over and got everywhere. I managed to clean up most of it with nail polish remover but there are tiny spots of residue that I can't seem to remove. Will products like Goo Gone work?
