Using a hot glue gun to mould heroscape tiles? This may sound weird, and a new idea, but is there a way you can use a hot glue gun to mould heroscape tiles? If not, is there anything cheap and easy to use to mould them? If you can use hot glue gun for a mould, can you put something on it like pam grease (This sounds extremely unintelligant, doesnt it?) to make it slide out easier? I would like to know if there is a way!

What should I use to glue floral foams together? I need to glue together pieces of floral foam for a molding project. I need to have these pieces glued together firmly. Previously, I've tried using hot glue (from a glue gun), yes the pieces stick, but you can break everything apart with a nudge of a finger. I need these things to be glued and not stuck together by sticks or wires because the floral foams would be shaped by sandpaper. Please help!
How do you sew or glue elastic onto fabric to make a curtain without a sewing machine? I need to make a handmade "curtain" without a sewing machine by tomorrow morning (i.e. a few hours from now...:) The curtain is being used to hide a refrigerated display case. I'm planning on using velcro to attach the material to the case. However, it is in a restaurant and will need to be cleaned quite often. So i thought using elastic to gather the material at the top would create creases to help hide any stains at least a little bit. I have a glue gun, elastic, thread, and a needle. What do you suggest?! Help please!! (Actually I know not to GLUE the elastic to the material, but rather i mean use the glue to create the horizontal "pocket" around the velcro.) Whats the best way to glue a magnet to an aluminum surface? I have experimented with Gorilla Glue (which isn't as durable as I would like) and an industrial strength epoxy (which is messy, time consuming and stinks to high heaven.) Would a hot glue gun be any better? Would I have better results placing a permanant sticker on the aluminum surface first and then gluing the magnet to the sticker? Please help!
Is gorilla glue a good idea for wedding centerpieces? Hi am doing wedding centerpieces and am adding ribbon and pearls to a glass bubble bowl with a hot glue gun, but when I see them the next day the are falling off. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to use gorilla glue?
How do I add custom fabrics to my jeans? Should I glue, stitch by hand or machine? I find that old navy & express bootcut jeans fit me perfectly...the problem is they all look the same and have little flavor. being jamaican, i need to brighten things up a bit. I want to cut slits in the jeans and place some bright colors & designer fabrics in the gaps. I havnt found detailed info on how to do this. What I have in mind is to use a box cutter / razor to cut the slashes, turn the jeans inside out. attach the fabric with a typical hot glue gun then stitch over the glue. Does this sound like a good plan? and will it hold up if the washing machines? I was planning to do this by hand but is there any way to do this with a sewing machine without stitching my jeans shut? Also, I was thinking of maybe spicing up the back pockets. Any suggestion? Tips? Advice?
How do I remove dried hot glue from my desk? This is my first time using a hot glue gun and I was stupid enough to place it on my desk, which is made of wood with a thin layer of paint on it. Some of the hot glue dripped onto the desk and now I have dried hot glue all over my table. The bad thing is I tried prying them off but it caused it to smudge everywhere, does anyone have any methods of getting it off without damaging the table?
Glue for items that will be in aquarium? What kind of glue can I use to build my fish little shelters out of terra cotta pot shards? I need it to be waterproof, of course, and non-toxic once it dries. I do have a hot glue gun if that is an option. . . . Thanks everybody. We will definitely make sure to sand down all rough or sharp edges. These are for my son's betta tanks and it's a project he wants to do. The tanks are kind of small and oddly shaped. We'll probably be decorating them by gluing on colored aquarium gravel in different patterns, too. He is really excited about this!!! Wow! Everybody gave great answers and were very helpful. I can't decide who's answer was best. All of you were helpful and informative and each of you gave me a new insight. I'm going to ask the community to vote on this one.
How can I remove dried hot glue from a desk? Having never used a hot glue gun before, I figured letting the excess of one kind of hot glue out before using another would be okay. It quickly hardened (as hot glue is supposed to), and now I can't get the glue to pry off. Is there a particular liquid I can spray to loosen it?
What kind of glue should I use to affix the rear-view mirror in my car? I have a '92 ford deathtrap, er, I mean, Explorer, if that matters. The bloody thing just fell off yesterday. Don't tell me expoxy-type glues. They don't stick fast enough, I can't clamp it, and I can't very well sit there for 10 minutes holding the damn thing. I was thinking a hot glue gun. Well, I went to the auto supply. Bought the w/s repair kit. Followed directions EXACTLY. It didn't work. The glue is nothing but superglue and it didn't stick for beans. I think part of the problem is that the "button" is part of the mirror. It's a metal piece that looks like it slides into the mirror, and it was glued in. Should i try soaking the thing in acetone, see if I can get the button out, then try it that way.
