Removing UHU glue from a shiny hard plastic surface? Any tips for getting the brand name "UHU" glue from a shiny hard plastic surface it has accidently trickled on , i fear any solvent remover might leave a dull mark where the once shiny surface was ! Thanks really need some advice Its UHU all purpose Adhesive , ive tried picking at it and a sticky remover but its not shifting , i know if i used a varnish remover the shiny surface would also be removed . liquid tube glue , not the kid's glue stick type. thanks

how to get glue of of carpet? Right, i was paper macheing my hat which i have to make for scool and some of it dripped on my my carpet. i didnt think it wod show up but it has and its all lumy and hard and its gone a bit paler ( my carpet is red). what is a good technique for sticking photographic prints to MDF board? I'm looking to mount some prints on to MDF board. I'm just using photographic paper from an online imaging site (unless you can suggest another type of paper that would be better). I want to glue it on to these off cuts of wood I've had laying around, but not sure what type of glue to use. Would normal Super glue or UHU be ok? Why did the tissue burn? I spilt some of UHU's super fast drying super glues, and without thinking I just got tissue (Kleenex) and wiped it off. I started to notice that there was smoke coming from the tissue so I put it under water. Why did the tissue burn? And where would this question head under? Please and thank you.

I bought a pair of trainers from a shop that sells designer goods and brand names at a far cheaper price than the market leaders. They appeared to be in perfect condition. The shop does not have signs saying it sells seconds. Nowhere does it say that it has no returns policy or refund policy. Nowhere does it say that it sells second hand goods. I wear the trainers. I undertake no unusual activity besides walking. Less than a week later the soles of the trainers come loose. I glue them back on using UHU. A day later the trainer sole comes loose again. I wished to avoid having to return them as they appeared to be a really good bargain and there was no other pairs of the same trainer. Then that day, after the glue had set and the soles were fixed the trainers actually fell to pieces. The leather pices that went from soles over the trainer above the toes snapped. The spongy stuff split, One whole side of a trainer came off, and the entire sole of the other came off as I was left my house and headed for the local shop. I took them straight to the shop and was told that the shop policy is that there are no refunds or a returns policy. I was told I would not be getting my money back. Obviously on the inside I was very angry and wished to severely assault the shopkeeper and the owner of the shop. So I left with the defective goods before I acted in an unsavoury manner. What are my rights regarding this, assuming all the above is completely factual.

I accidentally smoked glue? I was with my friends, we were smoking hookah. The hookah was originally broken so I glued it together with UHU liquid glue. After smoking we realized that the glue had melted and we may have smoked it. Is it dangerous to my health? Does it have any effect on muscle growth?
