I keep seeing these fabulous melted crayon art pieces where you line the crayons up (in colour order), stick them onto a canvas and then use a hairdryer to melt the ends into attractive looking streaks. I haven't seen anyone use anything other than a glue gun but wondered whether normal strong craft glue would do the same job? I can't see why but thought you Lovely lot might know!

What is a good craft glue for felt? Need a good craft glue, easy and not messy to use on felt projects for senior citizens, have tried tacky glue and that did not work. I am going with the Yes paste, as I have tried the others at your suggestions, and find that glue guns work best, but since they have no access to electric for that many, had to choose another route, thanks for all you ideas.

What is the best glue for paper to paper? I need a glue that is able to glue two pieces of very thin paper together while being completely transparent, very strong, durable(able to keep strong if the paper is bent a time or two), and can be applied to thin paper without warping or shrinking it at all. This is for use on important paper crafts, elmers glue sticks don't cut it anymore. Expensive glues are fine, too. Thanks.
What is the best glue to use on a broken Franklin Mint Statue? 10 years ago, my daughter (who was 3 or 4 at the time) broke one of my valuable art deco Franklin Mint statues. She is 14 now and I finally unpacked my collection. I would like to fix this statue, but the glues that Michaels sells so far have not worked. Liquid Nails craft glue, Super Glue Gel....nothing is working. I am looking for someone who has successfully repaired a Franklin Mint statue - and would appreciate feedback. Thanks!

How can I get sea shells to stick to a fake wreath. I think hot glue will just peel off.? I am doing a contest at work where we have to make a wreath with a team. Since we are near the ocean I though a wreath covered in sea shells would be nice. Since the surface of the shells is smooth because they came from a craft store I don't think hot glue will make them stick. Is there any kind of craft glue I can get from a local craft store that will be strong enought to make the shells stick to the plastic wreath? Thanks!
What kind of glue is safe to use on skin, but also very strong? I need some sort of glue that is safe to use on skin but very strong. Part of a costume that I am using in a play has fake latex skin that needs to be attached to the back of the hands and arms, so the glue needs to be strong enough to stick even with lots of movement. I have not been able to find any specifically for this purpose, and a lot of the strong craft glues have warnings about skin irritation. If anyone knows of anything that will work, please let me know. Thanks
Removing hot glue from a jacket? How would I remove hot crafting glue (already dried) from a jersey/sweatshirt type jacket? I thought of using acetone, but is that the right thing to do? I'm afraid if I use an iron with a towel or other similar technique, it will melt the glue further into the fabric since it's hot glue and not regular glue. Thanks for any advice!
How to use electrically conductive glue? Well, I'm working on an elcrical project but I absolutely SUCK at soldering, so I bought a special type of glue that conducts electricity and can replace using a soldering iron. (the glue is applied with a toothpick and is a bit runnier than Elmers craft glue)

Anyone used e-6000 glue for crafts? Hi! I'm working on a craft project, and I've tried a lot of glues that just haven't worked. I've heard e-6000 is good.. anyone tried it? I want to glue leather to felt, then sew it.. it needs to stay flexible, and doesn't have to be a really strong bond. I found out that my sewing machine will only sew through leather and felt if it's glued in place first, so as long as the glue holds till then. Thanks!

What is a good craft glue for metal to metal bonding? I need a clear drying heavy duty glue for jewelry. I've used E6000, which is fine for plastic to metal, but not strong enough for metal to metal. I've also used Fas'n All, which was a joke. I bought Sumo glue last night, and obviously didn't read the back, since it dries white. Help!
What glue should I use to glue a hard plastic drinking cup back together? Earlier today, I broke a hard plastic drinking cup. It's the kind of plastic that doesn't bend -- it only snaps when dropped, etc. I would like to fix the cup; only single piece of it broke off, and it fits back into the rest of the cup fairly well. I have this Elmer's Craft Bond glue, which is a polyeurethane-based glue. Would it be okay to use this on the cup? Most importantly, the glue I use needs to be able to withstand high temperatures in the dishwasher, and, of course, it needs to be safe so that people can still drink from this cup. Any suggestions? The thing is, I broke the cup in a fit of rage, and I feel stupid about it -- that's the main reason I want to fix it. So I'm guessing the polyeurethane glue isn't safe to drink from?
Glue Stick Crafts? What is a good use for old, empty glue stick containers? I have a ton of them - the only thing I can thing of would be homemade lip gloss. Are they worth saving or should I just toss them?
Does anyone know of any water-proof glue and glitter? I want to add a little pizazz to my mermaid tail and fin, but I don't know what glue to use that won't run off or ruin my suit. So a craft glue, too, while we're at it. But together in one glue-- if that's possible.
How do you remove glue from your car seat? There is craft glue stuck on my car seat covers. Any one got ideas on how to remove it, as it is annoying me, and is quiet large. Well actually, my scrapbooking bag was in my car, as i was scrapbooking at my friends house. The glue was face down to the car seat covers, and as it was a hot day, 30 degrees, the glue leaked and dried on the seat covers. I had to rip my scrapbooking bag away, and there is also part of the scrapbook bag stuck to the covers
how to get craft glue out of hair? I was helping my DD make a costume for her VBS. It had a hood with eyes that had to be glued on. She did this while it was on my head. The glue seeped through the cloth and is in my hair. I tried washing my hair with really hot water to no avail. Any suggestions?
Has anyone used Aleene's glue in various formats for crafting? I am looking at using some form of Aleene's craft fabric glue, however there are so many forms of it on the shelves that I don't know which one to pick. I am looking for one to use on decorative buttons to adhere to the cuffs of little girls socks and I need it to be washable. I went to Michaels yesterday and there is aleene's of all sorts, I picked up Aleene's Jewel It, Aleene's (I believe it is called stretch fabric glue) and I picked up Aleene's (again I believe it is called Wash It glue). I am sure I have the names wrong, but you get the general idea. Does anybody have any recommendations?
Have you crafted using glue and wrinkled brown paper sacks? I saw a back of a bookcase that had been redone with small wrinkled torn pieces of brown paper and it was great looking. I'm redoing a old paper lamp shape and need to know what to do after the paper dries? How do I seal it and what color or stain (?) will look good? Thanks for info, color suggestions or sealer or stain ideas!
Does anyone know where to get large matchboxes for doing crafts? I have seen a matchbox treasure chest craft where you decorate the matchboxes and glue them together. Also another craft taking decorated matchboxes, gluing them together to make a Christmas tree shaped version of an advent calendar. I would really like to try something like these but cannot figure out where to get the matchboxes. They would need to be much larger than standard matchboxes with matches in them. Any thoughts??

Can I use regular hot glue to bunch hair extensions together? I want to use the micro link aka clamp method to do hair extensions, but the beauty supply store closest to me only sells human hair on a weft, so i would have to cut it off, and then but this special hair extension glue for about $70, but i want to know if it will be okay if I use regular hot glue from a craft store... What glue would you use to stick polymer clay to a metal tray? I made a really cute wall-hanging for a kitchen by crafting pretend cookies out of polymer clay and gluing them to a metal baking sheet. I used e6000 glue which fell apart right away. What is the best glue to use if I want this to be permanent? Also, what glue would you use to attach a metal hanging hook to the back of the tray? (The first time I glued it, I forgot to sand off the no stick teflon from the cookie sheet. This time I would sand the tray before gluing, but first I need to figure out the most permanent gluing option.) Thanks so much!
Does anyone know how to make glue from house hold items? I have found several websites, but require things that the normal person doesn't keep in stock in their kitchen at all times. If anyone has a link or a how-to on making basic glue for kids to use in crafts, I would appreciate it. Yes I know it is less than a dollar at Walmart or Kmart, but I want to teach my kids how to make their own. This also help reduce waste in the landfills if you make your own. I asked for how to make it, not where to buy it. But hey, you got a point for answering though didn't you. :)
