Can you use a hot glue gun for fabrics?
can i use a hot glue gun to stick a piece of cloth to a peice of fur? im sticking a piece of cloth onto a stuff animal thing i made? will the fabric stay glued to the furry mole thing? haha, thanks!(:

- Yeah, but it will dry very stiff. Use a low-melt glue gun to avoid burning the fabric/yourself.

- You can, but as mentioned the hot glue will be stiff and hard when it dries. It would be better to use a "fabric glue" (which is a permanent white glue with "textile medium" added to make it even softer when it dries) though, and even clamp it while drying to get a great bond. You can buy that at any fabric or craft store. You can also use both of those at the same time, which can be best for many situations. Iin other words, put the fabric glue onto one of the parts in most of the areas you want to join, then put a dot or small line of hot glue in the other places, and press the parts together. The hot glue will bond instantly and act like a clamp/etc., whereas the fabric glue will take longer to dry but be stronger and more supple. HTH, Diane B.
