Is it safe to use glue (the ones from a hot gun) in my aquarium.?
The leg of an ornament fell off and i want to glue just one piece together. Is it safe to use the hot glue gun type of glue, the ones that come in a stick then you put it into the gun to melt? It is a 10 gallon tank with freshwater community fish.

- while super glue would be better hot glue would work if it sets before you add the decoration back to the tank
- Hrm... it might be, but better safe than sorry. You can get silicone glue at any Home Depot or Loews. Once it is dry it is non-toxic.
- Aquarium sealant is better - hot glue won't hurt, but it doesn't always stay stuck in the water. If you use aquarium sealant, let the ornament sit out for at least two days before you put it back in the tank to let the sealant cure.
- No. You can buy special aquarium glue though
- Get Aquarium Silicon Just to be on the safe side
- it will work
- NO WAY! your fish will die in like 2 seconds flat!
- Get aquarium silicone :) Trust me.
