Hair Extention Removal Disaster!?

I had glue-in extentions (yes I know BAD) and I was told to remove them using baby oil...totally worked, but now its super greasy after I washed it and there is still glue on my scalp. HELLLLP ASAP. I look like a greaseball.

  1. Get some extension remover shampoo from Sally Beauty supply ( only 2 bucks a bottle)
  2. lol it happned to me!! it was the worst thing ever!! i used weave remover its like baby oil. seriously, i still had glue in my hair for like weeks, trying to get it out. i just had to take it out my self little by little. but i would NEVER ever again get hair extensions with glue.
  3. dish soap its made to cut through grease
  4. You're probably just going to have to wash it a few more times. Be careful not to over-wash it though, it can make your scalp dry- and in turn produce more oil. In the meantime, I suggest using a powder on your hair to blot up the oil. A lot of people suggest baby powder, but I prefer to use a cheap facial powder compact that is closer to your hair color. Just dab on with the make-up pad that it comes with, or a powder brush.
  5. My best friend had a problem similar to yours, and oddly enough she used dawn dish washing detergent. Comb through while detergent is in hair. and then wash thoroughly...this worked perfectly for her. Hope it does the same for you hon.
  6. Keep using the baby oil to get the glue out, along with a fine tooth comb. Then use a strong clarifying shampoo or mix regular vinegar with water to strip your hair then follow up with a very moisturizing conditioner leave it in for about 15 mins.
