how to remove the RT cromw badge from my decklid?

I have a dodge charger RT and on the decklid is the crome RT badge but I want to put the red RT badge on so how can I remove the crome badge safely without scratching the paint and also do I need any special glue to add to the 3M tape on the red badge so it doesn't fall off later.

1. use a heat gun or a hair drier.
2. Dental floss or fishing line will let you get under the emblem and to the adhesive. A hair dryer or heat gun will soften the backing and adhesive. Use some bug and tar remover to get excess sticky stuff off the paint before putting the new badge on. wash and wax that area once you're done since the bug and tar remover will clean off the wax.
3. Like Abe said use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat it "don't melt it". Then slip a putty knife under it and lift it off. A little brake kleen on a rag will clean up the old glue. You don't need to use anything with the 3M double sided tape. Be sure to was around the emblem after its on, you cleaned the wax off with the old glue.
