Gluesticks

Extension glue removal?

I REALLY need some help with this one. Okay, I had glue in extensions put in my hair. They were just too much of a hassle so I decided to take them out. I used super bond oil remover and I also used the shampoo. Yes, the extensions came out, after more than an hour's work. Now, I have a nasty build up of glue all over my roots. It's not even clumps, it has just spread so much that it's like gooey. To further remove the oil from the super bond removal, I used witch hazel, and lemon juice. STILL no luck with the glue coming out. PLEASE HELP! Oh, TRUST ME, NEVER again will I get glue in extensions.

  1. put olive oil in your hair let it sit for awhile the comb gently with a fine toothed comb. then shampoo with the water as hot as you can stand.
  2. get an extremely skinny fine tooth comb, part half an inch at a time and comb through it carefully while ur hair is dry. Then shampoo your head again under hot water (not so hot that you burn your scalp) because that will heat up the glue so you can get more of it out of your hair. You'll probably still have some glue in your hair, and there really isnt anything you can DO per se to get it out. As you go about your regular business of combing it, washing it, styling it, and whatever else you do to it, the rest of it will gradually come out. My advice, get your hair braided and have the weave sewn in next time. It takes longer to do, but it's a heck of a lot easier to take back out, and if you've got really soft hair, you can use the thread to sew the braid tighter too, so it's not like sewn in weaves don't work for soft hair.
  3. never glue in extensions!!!! =(
