is it ok to put super glue on a rats cut foot?

My rat cut its foot open some how. I don't know if it was fighting with her friends or what. I have checked the cage and I don't see anything that would hurt her. Any ways I couldn't get it to stop so my friend put some super glue on it. It stopped the bleeding and she seems fine.

2. Glues like super glue have been used by medical professionals to hold together surgical wounds. However, the key word here is professionals. Take her to the vet to make sure she doesn't develop an infection and that the wound is properly healing.
3. NO! You're friend isn't very wise at all is s/he? Super glue is toxic. If that gets into her blood stream (which it will with an open cut like that) you're in for a heap of trouble. Take her to the vet NOW! If you ever need to stop the bleeding for a rat, you dip the foot or body part in flour or corn starch. They stop the bleeding. If the bleeding doesn't slow down or stop within an hour she needs the vet. My goodness, people these days!
4. Super glue? You're kidding, right? Take it to the vet, and next time, put some gauze on the cut instead of SUPER GLUING it! (By god, sometimes these questions are so outraegeous it makes me sick! I'm not trying to be mean, but that's cruel!) Putting superglue is okay if your rat is a TOY!!!
5. Super glue has alot of poisonous chemicals in it, so i hope you're rat survives. It would also burn skin. I just don't understand how stupid pet owners can be. These creatures are animals, NOT TOYS.

7. Yes, Dr's use a form of superglue to close wounds, but I doubt it is the kind you can buy at your local store. Do not try to remove the superglue, you will make the situation worse. Recommend you call an exotic pets vet and ask them what to do at this stage. Good luck!
8. i'm not sure if this a joke but. ask you're self is you're friend a vet? the best thing to do is hold a towel on it, and apply pressure. do you know you just have killed you're rat its toxic super-glue.and im sure. right now the super glue is in it's blood stream and it's killing it, tomorrow get ready for the paper box. i hope you learned you're lesson if you cannot afford a vet why get an animal!

10. as long as your friend dint douse Her with the glue she will be ok from the glue itself. she may pic at it but even if she ingests some she should be fine. however. the cut should have been completely cleaned first. keep an eye on it because it could become infected and have no way to drain. If it does soak it in warm water and get it to open up to drain. in an emergency for disinfecting you could also use listerine. Next time though try flour to stop the bleeding.
