How do you you remove Super glue off of plastic?

I bought a fish tank from a family that had a four year old and kept trying to feed the fish weird things so they inturn superglued the door shut. Ho do I remove the bond?

1. Remove super glue from plastic surfaces with rubbing alcohol. Dip the tip of a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. Apply the cotton swab to the glue on plastic surfaces, such as keyboards, video games and toys. Once the glue softens, wipe or rinse the plastic object thoroughly.
2. Acetone is the best way to remove superglue. The most common version of that around the house is fingernail polish remover. Or go to the hdwe store and pick up a quart for a few dollars.
