  1. with tweezers so you don't burn your fingers. made a rope basket using hot glue gun and steer roper's rope. burned my fingers badly for not putting on gloves first. And since your spaghetti is smaller, use the tweezers.
  2. Well, you will want to find a spaghetti that is strong. Strength varies a lot between brands and types. Ronzoni or De Cecco Perciatelli holds a lot of weight and is very sturdy, but be careful because it might break into a million peices mysteriously over night. If your objective is to simply hold the most weight, stay away from super thin spaghettis like Barilla or Shoprite Thin. All though these are the most efficient, in comparison to other brands they hold very little weight. Hot glue is a good thing to use, but a bridge is always weakest at it's connectors. So to make it as strong as it can, the ends of the pastas must be touching. It is not enough for them to just both be suspended in the same glob of glue. Actually, it's best if the ends overlap. Also try not to use too much because hot glue will actually cook the tips of the pasta a tiny bit. Oh, and build on wax paper because it can be treacherous trying to pry your bridge up from the surface without breaking it. When designing your bridge, you should make your blueprints to scale so that you can just build on top of your design and make it more accurate.
