Gluesticks

Need to get strong glue off of cement, suggestions?

I am installing pergo in my sunroom. The installers took off the carpet and it was a pain in the butt to get it off. There is a very strong adhesive I think it's outdoor carpet glue. I applied some real strong glue remover, and it didn't do anything. My next step is muratic acid. What do you think will work? Do you think muratic acid will do the trick?

  1. You might want to try this stuff called "Goof Off", the original stuff and not the type 2 stuff! I'd be surprised if it didn't get it off.
  2. use spirit. Apply some spirit on the glued surfaced. And rub vigorously. I AM NOT SURE!!
  3. if the floor is cement just get a flat shovel and scrape it off
  4. mineral spirits!
