How to remove Super glue coating from my HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop?
I was fixing a key of the keyboard of my laptop with Super glue, but was unable and now I have fixed the key but still I have to press it very hard to make it work. Now I will have to remove the glue coating and then fix the rubber again. I am really suffering, now is there any way I can help myself to make the key working again properly. - Something strong enough to remove super glue may indeed melt the key, I suggest trying nail polish remover (small amount at first) do not get it on top of the key till you see the effects of it first. So try it where it will not be seen to make sure it is cool! good luck!
- Super glue? Not good, not good. Try picking at it little by little with a heavy needle or knife. Fingernail polish remover in there is just asking for trouble. You can always buy a new keyboard. Some are pretty cheap, some not.
- superglue remover lol or just buy a new keyboard
- Leave it alone and just continue to press hard. After a period of time the glue causing the hard push will wear away and the key will key progressively easier to push. Otherwise - a new keyboard is in order.Laptop individual keys are difficult to repair in the best of circumstances.
- try razor blade
