How do I put emblems back on my car?

I've got a '94 Z24 that I repainted and I want to put the emblems back on the skirts that say "Z24". The original ones were garbage after I pulled them off. What kind of glue or epoxy or whatever do I use? I'm thinking 3M weather strip glue is strong enough since I already have it and used it for my sunroof. Any clues? I also have Automotive GOOP. Curious if that would work as well. I want something that will hold these skirt emblems with no issue of them coming off in the winter or anytime after. Also read around that I should use 3m double sided tape.
