SUPER GLUE = ETHYL CYANDACRYLATE POLMETHYL METHACRYLATE. I was doing a temporary fix on my reading glasses and slopped some one one lense!! Would like to remove to enable vision through that lens!! Any ideas?? Thanks.

- Try nail polish remover.
- TRY FINGERNAIL POLISH REMOVER
- paint thinner
- Try nail polish remover, that's what it says to use for excess glue removal on the glue container, but I do'nt know how it will react with the lens if it is'nt glass so be careful!! Hope this helped, good luck!!
- fingernail polish remover will take it off or if you get stuck, it will unstick you.
- The solvent is actually acetone. It is found in fingernail polish remover. But the acetone is what you want.
- Acetone, may remove the glue, but it will likely dissolve the surface of your reading glasses, rendering them slightly opaque. I work in an Emergency Room, and we regularly use petroleum jelly (vaseline) to remove the glue from kids who stick together their fingers, eyes, etc. Just apply it liberally, and wait an hour. It should loosen it sufficiently.
- acetone or fingernail polish remover will work.
