Gluesticks

how to remove super glue from my fingers?

i accidentally spilled some super glue (mighty bond brand) on my fingers, and now it has this white crust that i can't remove. i have to time-in for work on monday using fingerprint scanning. I am worried that the scanner won't read my fingerprint due to the white crust that is stuck on my finger. is there an effective way of removing super glue on human skin?

  1. It'll pretty much fall off by monday, what doesn't fall off you can scratch off with your fingernails. Doesn't it hurt? It always hurts the place that I get super glue on my fingers.
  2. I did that once. LOL, I tried filing it with a medal nail file or clip it with nail clippers. Don't clip the skin though that might hurt.
  3. Nail polish remover will take it off. The main solvent in super glue is acetone, same as in nail polish remover. Hope this helps.
  4. Try some acetone-based nail polish remover. Fill the cap halfway with nail polish remover. Soak your fingertip in the remover for a minute, then try scraping or rubbing the glue off. Repeat until it is all gone. You can also soak a cotton ball with the remover and hold it on the glued areas. Be sure to wash your hands off with soap and water afterwards.
