How do you treat a burn from a hot glue gun?

So i was making something and the hot glue on my thumb i need to cut something but every time i go to cut my thumb starts stinging what do i do?

1. cold water, ice, and take advil or tylenol :) I think it's advil that helps with the inflamation, and if you can, wait till the next day because it's going to hurt because your skin is still hot, or burning in a sense. Watch for any blisters that may form too :)
2. Happens to me all of the time! - Ice it -Neosporin -Put a bandade on really tight It helps me alot
3. As a previous poster has suggested, putting a tight bandaid on a burn isn't a great idea. Burns can potentially swell like hell, and if you have added constriction, you run the risk of cutting off the blood supply and encouraging hypoxia to those said tissues.
