Gluesticks

It is safe to use super glue to close a cut, right? I don't want my arm to turn green and fall off.?

  1. uh...i wouldn't
  2. I've heard of people doing this, but i don't think its a good idea. A bandaid is easier.
  3. No its not safe to put any chemicals of this sort in an open wound. Either go to the hospital and get stitches if its that bad or let it heal naturally.
  4. 2-octyl cyanoacrylate is a medical grade glue encountered under various trade names; e.g., LiquiBand, SurgiSeal, FloraSeal, Dermabond, and Nexaband. methyl 2-cyanoacrylate, ethyl-2-cyanoacrylate (commonly sold under trade names like SuperGlue and Krazy Glue), Would probably not feel too good due to the methyl, ethyl component but are not highly toxic. Used to know someone who had fingers that would split in the winter and he super glued them all the time. Just be ready for it to burn.
  5. No you could make it worse. If it's a pretty bad cut, get stitches or bandage it.
