how do you remove the stick of glue from a cordless hot glue gun?

the glue stick in there now, is not advancing when i squeeze the trigger... even after placing a new stick behind the one already in the glue gun... what can i do? any ideas?

1. maybe something is wrong with it.Maybe its not getting hot enough.wait about 5-10 minutes(IMPORTANT:be sure 2 watch it so it doesnt get too hot!!) and then try pulling the trigger.if this doesnt work then you should get a new hot glue gun.
2. OH! This has happened to me and it is frustrating! Try this--Let the gun heat up for at least 15 mins, maybe 20. Then, if you have enough of the stick's end exposed, try to gently pull it back out. Some of the glue will still be in the gun, but at least the problem stick is out of the way. Leave the gun to heat a little longer, then try a new glue stick--push it in until it stops (resists) then allow to heat. 5 mins or so later, push the stick in little farther, let it heat, then proceed as usual. If that doesn't help, toy may need a new glue gun. Make sure that your sticks are the right size for the gun...too small won't work, either because the trigger doesn't apply the right kind of pressure... Good Luck!
