How do I get super glue off a copper coin?
I have a copper coin (at least I think it's copper). There is super glue all over it and I really want to get it off. I tried using a nail polish remover, thinking it would break down the glue like it does paint, but it just made the areas with glue on it ashy. Any ideas? Will soaking it in the acetone ruin the finish on my coin? I can't, this one is really unique. Annie~ Will Pepsi cola work too?

- BILLY MAYES HERE TALKING ABOUT OXYCLEAN! YOU WANT CLEAN PENNIES? USE OXYCLEAN AND YOU WILL HAVE THE SHINIEST PENNIES EVER!
- soak it in nail polish remover. turn it into the bank. scrape it off
- Get a new coin.
- you probally can use a can of coke pop to put the penny in and let it soak over night then tell me if the glue came off of the penny.
- Forget the coke and all the cleaning products as well as the finger nail polish. Go to a hardware store and get some pure acetone. The acetone will remove the super glue, soak until glue is dissolved. Then rinse coin is distilled water and air dry. There should be no damage to the coin, do not wipe coin dry.
