Gluesticks

What can remove super glue from a surface?

I was fixing a knick-knack and I accidentally got super glue on my kitchen counter. I really need to get it off...it's driving me crazy! HELP?!?!?

  1. acetone nail polish remover..be careful it can also remove some counter tops if left on too long...or may stain.
  2. Finger nail polish remover.
  3. Fingernail polish remover worked for me! Good luck!
  4. Check the bottle for instructions but acetone found in Nail polish remover or alcohol should work. You may have to place a paper towel or piece of cloth soaked in the solvent over the dried glue for a few min to loosen if it is a thick blob and GENTLY scrap it with a putty knife
  5. All you need to know....... http://www.supergluecorp.com/removingsuperglue.html
  6. you might want to scratch the top of it off lightly with a razor blade, and then try nail polish remover to lift the rest.
  7. Pure Ethyl alcohol, or Ethylene will work slowly , and it will not harm the counter top as acetone will. This has worked for me. If it doesn't work...hobby shops sell some type of "super glue" or cyanoacrylate remover, and some hardware stores do, but I do not know if it will damage your countertop.
  8. go to a hobby shop. they have a remover. for super glue.
