can you use a hot glue gun to stick someting to a car dashboard?

I am wanting to hot glue a Scanner to my dash. But my dash is slack plastic will it hurt or fade the color?

1. You're better off just getting a mount for it. It'll stay put better, look better, and won't really hurt anything.
2. The glue doesn't stick because the dash gets very hot in the sun.
3. Just get some self adhesive velcro.
4. You will ruin the dash by doing that. You need to get a proper mounting kit for the scanner rather than destroying part of your car.
5. i dont see why not try it and if it dosent work ask someone at Auto zone
6. you will damage your dash use a good quality double sided tape eg 3m then if it needs to be removed no problem and no damage
