Gluesticks

how do you remove super glue from a counter top?

There are two spots, a little less then a dime size on the main counter in my kitchen. How do I remove it?

  1. Try using a product called Goo Gone, works on everything.
  2. try a little nail polish remover.
  3. acetone will remove it but damage the counter unless its granite super glue is not goo so i dont think goo gone will work
  4. Counters, tables, floors, etc. Use acetone to soften glue and then start working at the glue. Brush, scrape, shave, peel, sand or whatever mechanical means is available to work the glue off. Reapply acetone and continue to work at the glue.
  5. Apply heat perhaps, or freeze it off.
  6. you could try a product called "GoofOff" available at Lowes and Home Depot, it smells like permanant markers, but is a very reliable solvent. I definitely recommend testing it on an inconspicuous area of the countertop. That way you can make sure it doesn't damage the finish. If your countertop's finish resists the chemicals, i would soak a cotton ball with the GoofOff, and allow it to sit for a while until it loosens the superglue enough to remove it with a razor blade.
  7. a product called Goo Gone, works on everything.
