Will a scar from burning myself with a hot glue gun heal?

The hot glue gun was pressed right up against my skin, and there is now a circular mark. It has been about a month and the area is healing but it is still reddish. Will the color ever go back to how it was?

1. If you had given it proper attention while the wound was still fresh, it would have helped more with the healing. I don't know how bad yours was, but mine formed a blister and puss witch left a big scar. I've had many burns and they take months until they come to the point where they might completely fade away. You can help the scar fade by purchasing some creams special for burns like vitamin E and applying it regularly
