Gluesticks

I don't bought the wrong size glue sticks and can't return it, can i microwave hot glue gun sticks?

1. it won't damage your microwave, whether they will melt or not is another matter. microwaves work predominantly by agitating water molecules, so depending on the chemical makeup of the gluesticks, it might not even heat up all that much. Give it a try in a microwarve safe container and youve got nothing to lose.
2. you can microwave it to melt it . Make sure to put the Microwave on "low'" and watch the stick or it could explode . It might be better to heat the stick with something hot like an Iron or and stove top or a lighter. Then you can use the melted tip for sticking stuff together . Or try microwaving it inside a cup of water ,this way it won't explode .=) In the microwave the whole stick will get soft .
