Glue-in hair extension help NEEDED!?

After wearing clip-in's for years i've decided im going to glue my extensions in now. I'm a student so don't have much money and therefore am going to do it myself. I've got thick, medium-long, blonde hair and would like to do very small bits of hair at a time to prevent people being able to see the extension line when my hair is up. I've heard that Keratin Glue sticks are the only option without completely ruining my hair (I know it will ruin it a fair amount still), but... 1. What size glue sticks shall I get? 2. What gun shall I get 3. Any tips on the best way to apply? Thanks
