How would I get super glue to come off this piece?

I have a glass "tobacco" pipe. It was dropped, and it broke in half between the bowl head and the stem. My friend glued it back together with super glue but did an awful job. I would like to take the two pieces apart and try to re-glue it myself. How could I get the two pieces apart? It belonged to a deceased friend, so I would rather not break it or damage it in any way in the process.
