Gluesticks

what kind of glue can be used to attach leaves to twigs and sticks?

i've been working on a sculpture involving natural materials and ive been having some trouble getting leaves to stay attached to sticks when i glue them to each other. ive been using wood glue, although im sure hot glue would do the job. any suggestions on what type of glue would be best or what im doing wrong?

  1. Hot glue would work, but any thicker cement type glue would work, too, like rubber cement, or Gorilla Glue.
  2. You need a good contact cement like E-6000 or Goop. Check the crafts department at WalMart or your hardware store. Gorilla glue takes forever to cure, and has a weird texture. E-6000 or Goop dries clear and has a tiny bit of flex to it.
  3. There's some stuff you can get called paverpol and it works on all natural objects an it hardens then as well so they become weather durable. It is Australian so if your overseas i don't know if it's possible to get it.
