What works better, elmers glue in a bottle or elmers glue sticks?

- That probably depends a whole lot on what you're gluing and why. Regular Elmer's glue may warp paper. Glue stick won't. If you're gluing something that's a bit more substantial, like two close fitting pieces of wood, then the regular glue can be very tenacious.I'd also prefer the regular glue on corrugated cardboard. For small stuff, you can put a little Elmer's in a plastic bottle cap and apply with a toothpick to control the amount. Glue stick thins with rubbing alcohol. I doubt that would work very well with the regular glue. This answer would be better with more details from you.
- I prefer sticks. They are easier to work with and seem to adhere better.
- In general, glue sticks. I agree with the person who stated that it depends on what your gluing, but if its not paper, it really should be a stronger adhesive, such as "superglue". epoxy, cement etc. If it IS paper, it should NOT be liquid glue, because liquid glue ruins paper, similar to water, or other LIQUIDS on PAPER. Generally a bad idea.
- I prefer glue sticks. If I have to use a liquid glue I go for Annie's craft glue. It's not runny like Elmer's glue.
