  1. Epoxy is best with metal.
  2. I don't like gorilla glue because it expands and forces apart the pieces that are glued.I prefer J B Weld epoxy for use on steel.
  3. I love Gorilla Glue - but for metal use PC-7 or JB Weld.
  4. Epoxy is okay if there is not a tight fit between the pieces. I think Gorilla Glue is overpriced and overrated because you're paying for the name and the advertising. You didn't say what the pieces are, their size, or what kind of environment they'll be exposed to, but I'd recommend Loctite 410, available on page 3380 of the McMaster-Carr (mcmaster.com) catalog. A good auto parts store might also have something that would work better than anything you could find at a home center, too. Ask someone with grey in their hair, if they have any (hair, that is). I've used 410 on interactive museum exhibits and know it is permanent, incredibly strong, and resistant to most anything, and though it's not cheap, neither is the cost of redoing things or replacing the pieces that fell off because you used an inferior product. Go with Loctite.
  5. I'm not a big fan of gorilla glue I'd recommend a 2 part epoxy or JB weld
