Can you use a hot glue gun on fabric?

I am designing a tank top and gluing bits of fabric and felt too it. I don't have any fabric or Elmer's glue, can I use a hot glue gun??? PLEASE HELP SOON!!!! Thanks in advance.

1. Not for a permanent bond. It may work temporarily, but any stress and whatever you're gluing will be gone. Here's a thought. Could you sew it on? Good luck.
