  1. get a low temp hot glue gun, but i don't think it will.
  2. no unless you hold the tip directly on the ball for an extended period of time
  3. Nope. Just tried it! However DO NOT stick the styrofoam ball on a hot plate! Nor should you make a layer of acetone around the styrofoam ball and put it in the oven! These are all BAD ideas!
  4. nope. only if you set it on fire. I don't think they have different temp guns b/c I haven't seen one. I suggest taking it slow and be careful b/c it is hot but not hot enough to start a fire or burn (the styrofome)
  5. You need low temp glue sticks. They work the high temp ones will
  6. There are two types of craft-type "glue guns" --high-temp guns and low-temp guns (they use the same glue sticks though). If you use a high-temp gun the glue will melt the "styrofoam," although you can cool it a little before putting it on the ball by extruding the glue onto a popsicle stick or something, then applying that glue to the ball (the glue will have cooled enough by then not to be a problem). Or you can just use a low-temp glue gun (probably the most common type these days).
