Gluesticks

what kind of glue is used when making candy bar "cakes"?

They are so cool... check them out at www.pamcake.com I have tried using hot glue, which melts the chocolate and messes it up. Rubber cement takes way too long to stick and dry. I don't want to use tooth picks or pins of any kind. I don't know what else to use... any ideas? Thank you.

  1. Why don't you buy one of the cakes and see what they use.
  2. The FAQ there only said non-toxic adhesive. I wonder if somekind of spray glue would work. I don't know if they're non-toxic though. you could email em customerservice@pamcake.com
  3. Royal icing. It dries very hard and it's edible. It's also the type of icing used on some cakes to attach flowers and such.
  4. there is an adhesive called ATG from 3M. Its used in the picture framing industry. It comes on a roll and looks like thick scotch tape with out the plastic backing, so both sides are sticky.
