Gluesticks

If glue from a hot glue gun is exposed to heat after drying will it melt again?

I just hot glue gunned something back together and it tends to be in heat a lot, will the already dry glue melt if it gets exposed to heat? Thanks!

  1. Yes!
  2. yup!
  3. The short answer is yes it will melt again under the right circumstances. Try using crazy glue on things that you don't want to come apart again. Hope this helps and good luck. Richard
  4. The glue will appear to be solid. But things will start to fall off, come apart if it gets hot enough long enough.
  5. Hot melt glue does not dry, becasue it just is a polymer which turns to liquid when heated. Yes, if it is heated up again, it will soften the joint. If heat is a concern, use epoxy or if need be, mechanical fastners.
