Gluesticks

What surfaces does wallpaper stick to, and will it fall off in extreme heat?

We live in Darwin, where the walls are rendered or exposed painted brick. Will wallpaper adhere to this surface? Also, the walls can get very hot at certain times of the day, and we were wondering if this would make the glue melt, and consequently make the wallpaper shift or peel.

  1. just make sure u prime it with a good primer in the heat glue will stick better
  2. wall paper will stick to any flat smooth surface and heat and moisture will cause it to peel . i would not try to put it over brick as you will have a very rough surface that will show through . if you put up some Masonite first it will stick better and if you have problems with a lot of moisture you may be better off with contact paper .a good test for moisture is to tape some aluminum foil to the wall and check if after a few days if it is wet when you peel it you will have problems . good luck .
