Is the glue from hot glue guns safe to i?
To make the story short, I have a gigantic tea cup (It's supposed to be for a plant, and at the bottom theres a little hole for the water to leak out) Well, I want to actually be able to drink from this cup, just to be funny. But I don't want the liquid to drip out the bottom. If I used a glue gun to close the hole, and fill it with hot tea or something - will it melt the glue? And if so - Will it be safe if I were to ingest some of it? 10 points. *Ingest**

- if you were to do it, try to only use the hot glue on the outer edges of the broken peice. the hot glue wont kill you and it is safe but you shouldnt do it. hot glue is not toxic depending on what type you use.
- You want to avoid using hot glue on items that are subject to high temperatures, as hot water is enough to loosen it. Hot glue also isn't particularly strong or durable, and I usually only use it for making quick temporary repairs. I find that Krazy Glue Gel is best for repairing porous ceramics. As for whether hot glue is toxic, well, I've never eaten the stuff myself, but it's basically just a type of plastic so it probably won't kill you if a little bit gets in your mouth.
