Epoxy glue or 3M double sided tape for chrome trim on car?
Should I use Epoxy glue or 3M double sided tape to stick chrome trim on a car? Those are both the biggest recommendations so far.

- Idk
- 3M tape is great in my experience, never tried epoxy but it sounds like more mess and more work for what might amount to the same result. 3M also sells an aerosol glue which works great, but again you would need to be very careful about making a mess.
- Use silicone sealant, like that used for window seals, gasket repair etc. It's good for 50 years and it works! Tape may work for a while, but it's also thick and may make the trim protrude. Epoxy would work, but it'll take the paint with it if the trim is pulled off, by accident or not. Silicone is hands down the best choice, plus it's good for all kinds of other stuff.
- TAPE
- I would definitely use the tape,I have used it in the past to install my bug shield back on my truck and it is awesome.also it will not leave a messy glue film on your paint.
- if it is real metallic chrome, jb weld is AWESOME. but if it is plastic, there ire special epoxys that actually bond to the plastic at a molecular level, pretty hard to break that bond, just be sure not to get it on the face of the plastic chrome, kills the finish
