superglue in cuts? does it work?

so yesterday i got my finger good with a knife chopping some stuff up at work (im a chef) it probably is deep enough to need stitches but it goes in at an angle so i dont think i could get them and it hurts! when it opens back up it takes almost an hour for it to stop gushing blood out. i put pressure on it and hold my hand over my head but it barley works. so ive heard of puting super glue on cuts to hold them together. will this really work and not make it just sting super bad for a while? can i just use any brand?

1. This has been shown to work actually. It wears off of skin in a few days anyway so why not. Use a trusted brand lolol.
