Hot glue gun on carpet?

So I am an idiot whom never used a electric glue gun before. I pushed the glue stick in too hard and it squirted out hot glue onto the carpet, drying quickly. Anyone know how to get it off without trimming off the carpet?

  1. rip that sh!t out
  2. Google it- I would just pull it off slowly.
  3. LOL! nice, but i think i know how to get it of... first, get a wash cloth and wet it with hot water. after that, use carpet stain remover.
  4. y do u have carpet ! its sickening to me ! i put wooden floor on , and its soo much easier ! lol and idk about ur problem =/ ask someone at like a store specialized for that =]
  5. I dont know type it in on a search engine
  6. I have done that before and it dose'nt come off unless you use windex and a sponge!
  7. heat it up.. usually hot glue is not the greatest thing to use on something that might get hot, or wet.. (I worked with flowers for years and used a whole lot of it.. and you can't trust it to stick to anything if it gets really warm and/or wet.. so I would try to pour a bit of really hot water on it and see if you can peel it off) good luck! :)
  8. get a brown paper bag and an iron. heat the iron. put bag over the spot on the carpet and put hot iron on it. the heat will melt the wax onto the paper. if paper don't work then use a peace of cloth.
  9. you could try putting a paper towel or a rag over it and iron over it so the glue heats again and absorbs into the paper towel or rag. I'm not sure if it works on hot glue but I know it works on wax
  10. uhh, maybe try using cold water. that may make it shrink and easier to get off or hot water to make it more pliable and get it off that way.
  11. Well, if you didn't squish it into the carpet, you should be able to just pull it off with very min. damage. otherwise I don't know
  12. I guess you rip it off??
  13. Maybe you should ask the workers at this company! Their best selling product is hot glue! They probably know how to help ya!
  14. Peanut butter on the Spot
  15. You could try a piece of wax proof paper and an iron. This works for candle wax and crayons and all sort of things like that; I can't see why it wouldn't work for hot glue as well.
