How do I keep my hot glue gun from getting stopped up?

1. i have a hot glue gun and i never have that problem what are you doing to it kathy
2. If glue gets built up on the tip of the gun, it will stop flowing. I usually take a sharp knife and just scrape down the tip very lightly until all the excess is removed. I have done this successfully several times. It may not look like it's alot on there, but it will work, if that is the problem.
3. Pull your glue stick back just a touch when it is resting ,the glue doesn't clog up then.
4. don't stop using it
