- if it's on your finger you might want to leave it alone. If you pop it the open sore will be exposed to everything you touch and also it will hurt everytime you put your hands under water.
- you could but then again maybe you shouldn't, it's really up to you but I know what I would do.
- Don't pop it young lady, that will make things worse. The blister is a natural function of the body that is filled with fluid to keep the wound moist, while new skin is being made to replace the burnt piece. The blister will start to shrink on it's own and when that happens, it will be safe for you to help it along. After it is gone, to be on the safe side, apply some antibiotic cream like Neosporin over the new skin and keep a band-aid on it for a couple of days. Good luck.
- If you pop it, make sure you do it with a clean needle! Personally, I would leave it. Get it covered up with a dressing of some sort to keep it nice and clean. Hey, you never know, it might pop itself! Jamie.
- My family for generations has always sterilized a needle by holding a lit match to the end of it, and popped blisters to relieve the pressure then dressed them.
- pop it then put a medical band aid or something so its not exposed and sore !!! i would do that blisters are just plain annoying !!!
- Years ago, I used to work for a roofing company. We were using hot tar which was 512 degrees F. The first thing they said was that, if I spilled the tar on myself, not to wipe it off since it blisters immediately, and I'd tear the blisters off. Well, I spilled and, somehow, didn't wipe it off. It did blister, I kept the blister covered with a dry wrap, until it healed. Had I broken the blister, chances are it would have gotten infected, as burns are good at doing.
