Does anyone know how to clean the tip of a hot glue gun so I can see the silver again?

- I would try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. That should take the burned on residue off. If that doesn't work, you might try Goof-Off or Goo Gone.
- if its just a build up of glue, i would suggest just cutting it off with a knife, that should work
- I found that it helps to wait until it has cooled down enough that you can use a cloth to wipe off the glue. It might require using a scrub brush or try using a pipe cleaner and rub it back and forth across it when it is still warm. I found that I can just rub it off when the tip is warm.
- Heat the glue gun. Use a piece of crumpled aluminum foil to scrub the tip while its hot and the glue is well melted. What would we ever do without foil, used fabric softener sheets, baking soda, or vinegar? Happy crafting!
- Hi: Try reheating the gun by turn it on and using a wet paper and wipe the tip of gun ;if it hot glue that on it. If there no hot glue on it and the sliver coating is gone; than there is no way to get it back but the gun is still usable. Hope this helps
