Gluesticks

How can I make my dry erase board stick to the wall without damaging the paint?

I can't use the 3m hooks because there isn't a ledge for the hook to sit on, velcro isn't heavy enough, and i can't use glue because I'll owe my school if I tear of paint!!! Does anyone have a creative idea on how I can make my dry erase board stay up on the wall?!

  1. how about suction cups? or suspend it from the ceiling with hooks and wire if you have a lift up tile ceiling.... or try buying a portable isle and sit the board on it...
  2. you can have it stay on top of something like a drawer or find a way to hang it from the ceiling...honestly, I am not sure! I would just drill in two hooks and let the white board sit on it. Good luck!
  3. Okay, this is creative, but I did it to make a bookshelf in the dorms at Ohio State. Take a pair of 2x2's and cut them a little shorter then the distance from the floor to the ceiling (we had concrete ceilings, don't do this with a drop ceiling). then drilled a hole in the end of each board and put a nut in it. I forgot what the nuts are called, but they go into wood and bite into it. Then I screwed bolts into the ends, and put them up against the wall and unscrewed the bolts until they were pushing against the ceiling. This made them real stable. I think we had two crossbars and then the shelf between them, but it's been a bit. Anyway, you can then hang your whiteboard from that. If you paint them black it will look pretty cool.
