1969 GMC truck?

Where or what site will have the online fix it yourself repair or restoring a 1969 GMC truck? I'm trying to fix panel in cab. The panels are badley warped and won't stick anymore with any glue I've put on it. I went to a Kragen's auto shop and they said if you clean and dust free the medal. You can use a 3m super weatherstrip adhesive to the panel. It will hold panel up above you where it won't rest on top of your head while sitting in truck. Is that true? What should I use to hold panel in it place like it supossed to be? Remember this. I'm here asking any info. on how to fix it yourself. Please do not answer mine with something that isn't what I ask for. I don't mean to be rude. Sorry, if you felt I was but I already know where Kragen or Napa auto shop is. Thank you. Back to what I'm here for. Does anyone know a web site I can go to that I can download for free or read and view pictures about how to do step by step fix or restore a 1969 GMC truck. 1. the hard part about a restoration is there are so many different levels that you can take it to. you might try your local library. i have been looking for some of the same information, but to no luck in sacramento ca.
