Gluesticks

How do you remove super glue from metal or glass?

My son spilled super glue on his cheap metal ear rings, glass & metal. He tried to wash the glue off in water. Now they look "white" not shiny anymore. Is there a away to get the glue off?

  1. i dont think u can
  2. you don't - that's the point of SUPER glue
  3. Only super glue can remove super glue. Put a little bit more super glue on and then quickly scrape it off with a piece of plastic or other metal.
  4. Try nail polish remover with acidtone in it.
  5. the only option you may have is just keeping it under steam, this method is slow(may take 7-8 hrs if unlucky) but eventually the glue will start to soften or peel
  6. acetone..but it is far more better to use kerosene then put fire..you will enjoy the outcome..do it now it is super effective..if symptoms persist call your friendly neighborhood batman..
  7. Try acetone. You can find it at a drug store (though you might have to ask a pharmacist for it). It's often found in nail polish, but you need a stronger concentration. I've used it to get super glue off a mirror. Good luck.
  8. Nail polish remover should work and won't hurt the glass, but I'm not sure what it will do to the metal. Good luck
  9. uhhh - a razor blade...hellooo...geeze how old are you people? No wait, just keep adding super glue like the one person said, right after applying rub your finger on it to speed up the process. If for some odd unexplainable reason your finger gets stuck....put more super glue on it and use the other finger. Disclaimer: joey9779 shall not be held accountable for opinions placed on Yahoo!
