How do you get super glue off of a ring?

My friend got super glue on her ring. It's a gold ring with rubies and diamonds. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

4. Assuming that all the stones are actually mounted and not just glued in and the ring is all metal and stones, (and the stones are real and not plastic) drop the ring in Acetone over night. The Acetone will disolve the superglue.
5. Take it to a jeweler. They deal with that sort of thing all the time and know how to do it without damaging the ring. And it's not expensive...a few bucks, at most.
6. I have had reasonably good success removing superglue with acetone. You may more readily recognize it as fingernail polish remover. The main difference is the polish remover normally has some oils in it to prevent drying your skin excessively. Just apply some to a cotton ball or cotton cloth and gently rub the glue to dissolve it. You may have to use several cotton balls depending on how much glue you are trying to remove. DO NOT use this procedure if you suspect any part of the ring is plastic. Acetone will dissolve most plastics. Acetone is available most anywhere paint and paint thinner is sold (Home Depot for sure). Polish remover is available through most places that sell nail polish (Food stores with cosmetic sections).
7. My father always uses gasoline to remove adhesives. The acetone in polish remover may work, but if it doesn't, try fabric soaked in gasoline.
8. Yegods - I don't know how to make that disappear. Take it to a jeweller if it's expensive. She doesn't want to ruin it any further by trying some home remedy that may or may not work. I'm not going to mention what happened to a watch that my husband crazy glued - but it ended up in a landfill somewhere.
9. You might can try WD-40. I would think that acetone would be to rough and may cause slight scratches. Just apply it with a q-tip or something soft.
