can super glue be used safely on finger cuts or splits in the skin?
i have heard people use it and its supposed to be much better than a product called new skin

- you CAN use it to seal small cuts in your skin... as a medic in the army i used to put superglue on small lacerations that my soldiers would get. it was faster and causes less discomfort than sutures.
- Not sure I would use super glue exactly but yes there are products similar to super glue that is marketed just for this purpose. Ask your pharmacist.

- Yes, but keep it to small cuts only. There are toxins in superglue that might cause problems if you were to pour a tube into a big wound, but it's definitely fine for small cuts. The glue used by doctors for the same purpose is specially manufactured to be safer for your body, but is essentially the same as normal superglue. Cyano-acrilate, I think.
- Nothing is better than band-aids and first -aid cream.
